King John Boxing presents Rumblefest 2008. This all boxing card will feature current WBA Fedecentro Super Welterweight Champion and Pine Falls own, Larry "Razor" Sharpe. Also appearing on the card will be Codey "The Warrior" Hanna, and the return of the "White Shadow" Corey Houston. Expect the roof to be blown off the wWinnipeg Convention Centre when the gloves start to fly!!

Winnipeg, MB - Colosseum 7 Fight card (Serious News) "Dangerous" Dave Zuniga ruled the Colosseum again with another dominating performance. The Dangerous One defeated Peter "F-16" Kaljevic by unanimous decision. From the opening bell Zuniga chased down the former 5 time world champion delivering percise strikes that had Kaljevic on his heels.
In other action Chris Fontaine sent his opponent onto the stretcher with a 1st round KO. Larry "Razor" Sharp proved he's on a different level as he easily dismanteled Jeremy Yelton. Rodrigo Munduruca proved he's the dominate big man in MMA with a first round submission win over Otis Funk. Agostino DeNatale put on a war as he defeated John Laing by unamious decision.

Coloseum 7 Notes
Cody Hanna returned to the ring after suffering a broken jaw and showed no signs of rust as he dominated Rob Stowell through 6 rounds. Chris Fontaine showed superior stand up skills as he scored a first round knockout over Chris Powers. The shot put Powers on his back and he had to be removed on a stretcher. Agostino DeNatale who was aparently suffering from the flu, put on another dominating performance in his win over John Laing. Winnipeg's dominate big man Rodrigo Munduruca continues to stay undefeated. Larry Sharpe was visabily frustrated at his oponents lack of skills. Sharpe announced he will not have too many fights left in the Colosseum as he and his management have been going over offers to fight all around the world. "Dangerous" Dave Zuniga came out agressive and put a hurt on Peter Kaljevic for 3 rounds. After the fight Zuniga announced that he is going to train in Mixed Martial Arts. With his superior Muay Thai skills this Team Canada fighter should be a force to be recogned with when he enters the cage.
Also in a blockbuster announcement it was revealed the the next Colosseum event (Colossem 8) will be in the cage and feature all MMA bouts.

Winnipeg, MB - Colosseum 6 Fight card (Serious News) -Dangerous Dave Zuniga survived a beating in the first round and came back strong to defeat Shawn Yarbourough. This fight had the crowd on its feet the entire time. Zuniga looked like he bit off more then he could chew, but the Winnipeg native survived the first round and got some important instructions from his Muay Thai coach Giuseppe DeNatale. After that there was no stopping the Dangerous one as he picked his opponent apart en rout to the victory.
Also on the card Chris Fontaine survived a flash knowdown and recovered with an armbar victory and Pine falls Larry Sharpe and Willard Lewis ended their bout as a no contest (Headbut) at the end of the 3rd round. Here are Colosseum VI results.

Winnipeg, MB. - April 19 ( Serious News) - Larry "Razor" Sharpe promised fans after he beat Chris Holt that he would walk into the Hostile Royal York Hotel in Toronto and beat up rival Byron Mackie. Sharpe Did exactly that scoring a 10th round TKO. With that victory Sharpe now holds the WBA Intercontinental Light Middleweight Title.
In other action Codey Hanna and Tebor Brosch faught to a draw in a rematch of their encounter at Colosseum IV, and Michael Springer defeated Corey Houston. |
