Larry Sharpe headlined another King John Boxing event in Winnipeg last night and as expected, the current NABA and WBA Fedecentro Light Middleweight champion collected another victory.

Larry Sharpe passed one of his toughest tests yet as he knocked out 2 Time Mexican Champion Mauro Lucero in the 4th round. The first 3 rounds were very close with Laucero landing several hard body shots that shook Razor. When the 4th round opened it was Larry pushing the action and landing a severe strike that floored the Mexican Champion for good.
In other action "Lil Supeman" Antwan Robertson knocked out Tim Watts in the 2nd round. John Mclean and Chris Holt battled to a majority 6 round decision in the fight of the night. This fight saw non-stop back and forth action with both fighters bloody.
Winnipeger Ayana Pelletier outworked Monique Duval en route to a decision victory. Sabastien Hamel dominated Patrick Cape in a 4 round decision win that wasn't even close.

| The Royal York Hotel has been a pretty good place for a fighter to get some much needed exposure and 3 of Winnipeg's best took full advantage of it. Larry Sharpe captured another title and more importantly punched his ticket to the top with a much needed decision win over Joaquin Rose Gomez. Gareth Sutherland spoiled the plans of Canadian Boxing Legend Donovan Boucher, stopping him in the 9th round. Codey Hanna and rival Tebor Brosch battled to a draw. |
