The Royal York Hotel has been a pretty good place for a fighter to get some much needed exposure and 3 of Winnipeg's best took full advantage of it. Larry Sharpe captured another title and more importantly punched his ticket to the top with a much needed decision win over Joaquin Rose Gomez. Gareth Sutherland spoiled the plans of Canadian Boxing Legend Donovan Boucher, stopping him in the 9th round. Codey Hanna and rival Tebor Brosch battled to a draw.

Colosseum Star back at UFC 84 in an "All Canadian Matchup"
Undefeated in the Colosseum Joe "El Dirte" Doerksen has jumped back to the UFC to take on Jason McDonald at UFC 84 in Montreal. Doerksen and McDonald are no strangers as they faught 2 years ago in Winnipeg that saw McDonald pull off the upset in the 4th round with a rear naked choke. Now training at Team Canada MMA Doerksen has taken his fight game to an all new level and will look to put the hurt on "The Athlete" at UFC 84 in Montreal.

Big Finishes at Colosseum VII
"Dangerous" Dave Zuniga ruled the Colosseum again with another dominating performance. The Dangerous One defeated Peter "F-16" Kaljevic by unanimous decision. From the opening bell Zuniga chased down the former 5 time world champion delivering percise strikes that had Kaljevic on his heels.
In other action Chris Fontaine sent his opponent onto the stretcher with a 1st round KO. Larry "Razor" Sharp proved he's on a different level as he easily dismanteled Jeremy Yelton. Rodrigo Munduruca proved he's the dominate big man
